Raw Almonds & Dried Figs

Did you know that raw organic almonds and organic dried figs taste amazing together?? Okay, so I know this “recipe” is about as basic as it gets… but it’s still one of my favorite snacks in the whole world!  And, considering how full of nutrients both of these raw ingredients are, it may be one of the healthiest food combinations around. Dried figs are  high in fiber,  and great for over-all bone health, and helping to lower blood pressure. They are also a good source of iron.

Raw organic almonds are equally tremendous in their benefits to our health! Many people are saying that raw almonds may encourage proper development of the brain, provide a clearer complexion, healthier hair, and a healthier heart! The American Heart Association recommends consuming 4 servings of nuts per week for the best health benefits. I like raw organic almonds pretty well anyway, but there’s something extra special about combining that nutty flavor with the chewy sweetness of a dried fig!
