Chocolate Covered Raisins

Chocolate covered raisins are one of my favorite treats ever! (I especially love nibbling on them when I’m watching a movie!) Sometimes I get a bad sweet tooth and I’m just dying for something rich, but I still want to know I’m building my health at the same time… so I tried making raw chocolate covered raisins today and enjoyed them so much! These darlings are pretty tasty and easy too! It’s hard to mess them up….  they still turn out great even if you like more/less honey, cacao or flavors.

Chocolate Covered Raisins

1/4 cup Raw Almond Butter

2 TBS Raw Honey

1 TBS Raw Cacao (or raw carob)

1 tsp Vanilla Flavor

1/2 tsp Maple Flavor

1/2 tsp Orange Flavor (optional)

Mix all ingredients with a spoon until it starts to “ball up” around the spoon.

Take a tsp. of the chocolate mixture (or less) and place it in the palm of your hand. Place 1 raisin in it and roll lightly between your palms to form a smooth chocolate “coat” around it.   Refrigerate to keep firm. Should make around 2 dozen.
