Raw Ricotta Cheese Recipe (vegan)

Super great vegan recipe here! I’m a cheese freak, so this stuff makes me happy! The pine nuts used in this raw ricotta cheese recipe are filled with amino acids and also high protein and fat levels. This makes them a great source of nutrition. They are also full of B vitamins and minerals. I don’t know if it’s true, but here’s a few of the reasons I’ve heard that people are really liking raw pine nuts: -Cardiovascular Disease Prevention  -Cholesterol Reduction  -Weight Loss I love this recipe because it’s short and sweet and sweet. Great tasting food should always be like that! “Raw Ricotta Cheese” 1 cup raw pine nuts (soaked for 1 1/2 hours) 3 TBS water 1/2 […]

Easy Spaghetti Sauce

It’s yummy. It’s super easy. I can’t believe it’s raw spaghetti sauce!!! I love all things pasta, and it was a sad thing to me that I’ve never had much luck with creating raw spaghetti sauce… it just didn’t have that full, rich flavor. Good thing  my Grandma helped me figure out what this one was missing. We just kept adding stuff until it was just right! Goes great with raw zucchini pasta too. (See our “Easy Lasagna” recipe.) “Easy Spaghetti Sauce” 1 cup pureed raw tomatoes 1 tsp raw honey 1/4 tsp sea salt 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp dried basil 1/2 tsp dried oregano 1/4 tsp dried sage Pepper to taste (or substitute […]

Raw Cheese

Cheese is one of my all-time favorite foods, and learning how to make this recipe was a real treat for me. I was surprised at how easy it is to prepare. It tastes absolutely wonderful, and goes great with other foods too. We have gallons of raw goat’s milk this time of year, and my Grandmother wanted to teach me how to use it for raw cheese. Wow, I am so glad she did! (And by the way, using raw cow’s milk works just as good!) This is not a firm cheese. It reminds me of a softer version of feta… or a fine curd cottage cheese. Superb topping for salads, crackers, and other dishes. I also feel so good eating this […]

Raw Cabbage Salad

I absolutely love this raw cabbage salad!  Sometimes I can’t get enough. My friends and family love it too. It’s a really tasty mixture of crisp freshness and rich flavor. Besides being packed with vitamin c and iodine, raw cabbage is rich in fiber (roughage).  The human body depends on the amount of fiber we feed it, to maintain good health. It is a common problem these days for people to not get enough roughage in their diets, and if neglected it can lead to serious ailments such as constipation, stomach ulcers, headaches, indigestion, and skin problems. This raw cabbage salad can be an excellent way to make sure we get the fiber (and other vital nutrients) our bodies are asking for. Raw […]

Creamy Raw Salad Dressing!

I am crazy about this superb raw salad dressing!! It is a simple recipe, but it sticks to your salad and adds the perfect flavor. Just so you know,  I’m not one of those lovable people who eats avocado straight out of the peeling with a spoon (like my Mom does!)… but I love it in this dressing and have not grown tired of it even after months of making it! Sometimes I switch stuff around in the recipe – adding extra lemon juice or lots of pepper and maybe a few pieces of diced up tomato fresh onion- fora  delicious, “chunkier” version….. So go for it and try your own variations too! A ripe avocado has pale golden flesh, a light […]
